We have places for a total of 30 children. First come basis. Please register your children’s names and ages to Belinda or Yoke Sum (see numbers below).
For the parade, lanterns will be provided. You can, of course, bring your own.
We will provide dinner and moon cakes for dessert. If you would like to share some of your moon cakes with your SS2 neighbours, please bring them along.
Please come early to register for your dinner coupons (first come basis).
If you require further information on our ‘Malam Tanglung’, please call Belinda (017 2008127), Yoke Sum (019 2860948) or Edward (017 6691820).
Security
We recently had 2 cases of burglary, a snatch theft and theft of tyres from 2 cars. In the case of the tyres theft, the thieves were so calm and confident and convinced our guards and onlooking neighbours that they were changing the tyres of their own car.
Residents are demanding that we tighten up the security in our area. After a meeting with our committee and our guards, we have decided to be more stringent in our checking of cars coming to our area. We however need your help in this aspect.
We require all residents to provide us with their car numbers and also the car numbers of their frequent visitors. We will compile a list of all these cars and this will be given to the guards. Any car not on the list, will be subject to more stringent checks after midnight or if they are parked in our area.
Please complete the details of car numbers in the attached list and drop it at No 57, SS 2/43
We wish to remind residents that you need to continue to be alert and to always be on guard. If you see suspicious persons or vehicles in our area, please call the guards. The guards’ hotline number is 016 2131232. The name of the day guard is Eman. The night guard is Shahadur.
Bicycle Patrol
The number of cyclists joining our bicycle patrol has increased. Thank you for the response. Other than the usual patrol on Thursdays night at 9 pm, we also have a patrol on Sunday at 3 pm. Interested? Please call HK Tan at 012 6933717. Bring your own bicycle or if you do not have a bicycle, you can use our RT bicycles.
Normal Foot Patrol
We hope that you can join our voluntary patrolling scheme (SRS or skim ronda sukarelawan), to watch over our neighbourhood while having fellowship among ourselves. Please sms or call Tee at 019 9530510 to give your name.
Suggestions
Remember to drop them into the blue coloured security boxes.
Year-end Party
We plan to have a year-end party on Saturday 28 Dec 2013. This will be a sit down Chinese dinner, just like the one we had 2 years ago.
Please keep the date free. We will give you more details nearer to the date.
Security Fee
Please note that the fees for the period Jul – Sep 2013 is due. If you have not paid, please drop your payment in the letterbox at No 57 Road 2/43.

Our Safety Awareness Day will be held on Saturday 29 Jun 2013 from 8.30 am till about 10.30 am. The venue is the basketball court at road SS2/34.
In addition to a talk on crime prevention, the Narcotics, Traffic and Crime units from the Police will also set up booths for you to talk to them or gain some insights on what they do. There will also be a booth promoting products on fire safety.
We will also be officially launching our RT Bicycle Patrol at about 9.15 am. The OCPD of Petaling Jaya district has graciously agreed to flag off the patrol and ride together with them around a few blocks of our neighbourhood. We invite residents who have bicycles to join the group for their ride. Who knows; you may just about get your faces on National and local newspapers.
Registration starts at 8.30 am. Please register to obtain your breakfast coupons.
Security
We are aware that a number of residents subscribing to our security scheme, have still not received the whistles, rattan sticks and the portable ‘panic’ alarm device. We will be distributing these items during our Safety Awareness day on 29 Jun 13. Please come and collect them on this day, as we will no longer be distributing them thereafter.
If you are not able to come, please ask one of your neighbours to collect the items on your behalf.
On another note, if you see suspicious persons or vehicles in our area, please advise the guards. The guards’ hotline number is 016 2131232. The name of the day guard is Eman. The night guard is Shahadur.

We have already started our bicycle patrol. For a start it will take place on Thursdays at about 9 pm. If you are interested, please contact HK Tan at 012 6933717. Bring your own bicycle.

If you want to start bicycle patrol on another night, and can gather enough people, please advise Tan.
Normal Foot Patrol
We need more residents to join our voluntary patrolling scheme (SRS or skim ronda sukarelawan). We walk around the neighbourhood for about 1 ½ hours, around 9 – 10.30 pm, on most days of the week. We watch over our neighbourhood while having fellowship among ourselves.
Please join our SRS. With more volunteers, we can increase the number of patrols per week. Please sms or call Tee at 019 9530510 to give your name.
Suggestions
Have suggestions but do not know where to drop them or to whom! Do not worry. Just drop them into the blue coloured security boxes and we will collect them and act on them.
