Sunflower Fan Dance by Line Dancers of RT SS2B

This was the Welcone Dance performed at our recent 'Health Day' on June 18, 2011. The actual presentation was not recorded on video - unfortunately - so we had to re-group again with majority of dancers on June 21, 2011 for a recording session! Alas, we also encountered some unwanted background noise in the video (was there a woody woodpecker in the area?) - maybe we will redo again!! Well done ladies! Was there a guy in the video too? No comments about him please!!

Where was the Fire in our Neighbourhood Yesterday?

Need to Upgrade Water Hydrant in SS2!

Need for pillar water hydrant in our neighbourhood? Otherwise, we will need to have regular checks on the ground water hydrant to ensure that water as a weapon is available on a timely basis!

What To Do In Case of Fire......by SS2 Fire Brigade

This was another highlight of our 'Health Day' on June 18, 2011 held at our SS2/57 field. The presentation by the SS2 Fire Brigade had our residents all 'fired up' as to what to do in case of a fire emergency!

How to Save Lives....Presentation by St. John's Ambulance of Malaysia

This was indeed a lively presentation on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) by the St. John's Ambulance of Malaysia on June 18, 2011 at our SS2/57 field during our 'Health Day' function.

Spotted Yesterday and Captured Today!

Yesterday, one of our residents whilst taking an evening walk on the Jalan SS2/41 & Jalan SS2/43 field, spotted a somewhat huge phyton slithering across the walking path and it appeared to be moving towards one of the houses along SS2/41. The Civil Defence Unit was alerted but by the time they arrived the phyton had somehow disappeared from the residents' radar! So, the evening was one of unease! What's another phyton doing in our neighbourhood!

Today, residents readily snapped up sulphur powder to spread in their compound - it seems sulphur can deter snakes in your compound.

But we had plenty of luck this evening. At about 10.00 pm, the phyton was spotted along SS2/43 moving into the drains fronting the bungalows along the road. Residents acted quickly and the Civil Defence and Bomba Units were alerted. We finally captured the phyton! The video below tells the story; my apologies for the poor video quality
