RT Year-end Party 04 Jan 2014 – Yuk Chai School Taman Megah
There are still tables / places available for booking at the subsidized prices. The deadline is extended to 28 Dec. Please send your payment early to get better seating. If you do not have sufficient persons to seat a full table, we will group you with others
We went for the food tasting and the food was delicious (see photos).
The programme for the night includes:
1. The ‘Mask man’ - a professional performance of a man with many faces. You will be spellbound by his performance.
2. An extremely funny clown act
3. A ‘drum’ dance performance
4. Table games with prizes to be won
5. Lucky draws – Grand prize of 3 ‘sports bicycles’, hampers, vouchers and others.
For those who missed the previous newsletter, the cost is RM30 for SS 2B residents (limited to 5 pax per household) and RM50 for non-residents. The tickets and the map to the School will be sent before 31 Dec 2013. Please contact Edward Sta Maria at 017 6691820 or Yoke Sum at 019 2860948 if you need any information or if you need a dinner form.
Security: We will be changing to a new security firm shortly as the current firm wishes to cease its contract with us due to their internal situation. Our security services will be taken over by Derigour Security. The guards will remain the same for now. We will forward the new house tags and car stickers, once the change is made.
Security Fee: Please note that the fees for the period Jan – Mar 2014 will be due soon. As usual, please drop your payment in the letterbox at No 57 Road 2/43. We appreciate your prompt payment.

Bicycle Patrol with The Police on November 30, 2013
Bicycle Patrol
The date for the Seapark Police special bicycle patrol with neighbouring residents has been changed. The new details are as below:
Date : Saturday 30 Nov 2013 Time: 8.00 pm
Place: SS2/54 (in front of Puay Chai School)
Light refreshment will be served. We have 7 bicycles for those who would like to join in the patrol. Please contact Mr H K Tan 012 6933717 for more details.
Best Neighbourhood Award
We are in the running for this award. We will know by next month as to whether we will be getting any prize.

RT SS2B's Get-Together Party on January 04, 2014
Year-end Party
We plan to have a dinner on Saturday 04 Jan 2014 to celebrate the year-end and to welcome the New year. The change of date is to accommodate residents who are away during the busy December period.
We will have a sit down Chinese dinner (pork free), just like the one we had 2 years ago. The Chinese food menu includes among others; Pun Choi, Buddha Jump over the Wall and skewered prawns. We have separate Halal food for our Muslim residents.
The dinner will be held at the Yuk Chai School in Taman Megah. This is because we have a good overall dinner package from them. The school is about a 10 minute drive away and they have ample car parking spaces for 1000 people so parking will not be a problem.
As usual, this will be a subsidized event for residents. We have arranged for professional performers as well as local residents to entertain us on the night. There will also be lots of lucky draw prizes to be won. The dinner application form will be sent separately shortly. SS2B Town Hall Meeting on November 13, 2013
Town Hall Meeting with our MP, ADUN and Councillor The Ahli Majlis Zon 8 is organising a ‘Town Hall’ meeting with residents of SS2 to discuss current issues relating to our area. This meeting will be attended by our MP PJ Utara YB Tony Pua, our Adun Damansara Utama YB Yeo Bee Yin and our Ahli Majlis MBPJ Tony Cheong. Also in attendance would be the officers from Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (MBPJ). Date: Wed 13 Nov 2013 Place: Padang SS2/34 Time: 8.00 - 10.30pm
Please come and raise whatever issues that you may have, for our elected representatives to look into and resolve.
Malam Tanglung: About 200 residents turned up for our Malam Tanglung celebrations. We hope that you had a good time. If you have any feedback on the event, please tell us so that we can continue to make improvements for future years’ celebrations.
Security: Please be more vigilant especially if you see suspicious cars parked outside your houses. Call the guards’ hotline number which is 016 2131232. The name of the day guard is Eman. The night guard is Shahadur. The Police Hotline number is 03 78742222.
